What does rancidity smell like? Does it smell similar to halitosis by any chance? - halitosis more condition_treatment

All food must emit the same stale smell? I have some homemade granola, as every morning at work. I added some ground flaxseed recognizable because of its health benefits. The third day of eating in this series, I noticed a funny taste - a true "aftersmell" - reminiscent of bad breath (halitosis kind which are of course not). Normally, I read to remind you that flaxseed (and other seeds too, I think) are prone to rancidity. I wonder if maybe a little bit musty smell in my cereal.


Other than the smell that you know very well and do not feel sick or anything after eating.



So I thought that this type of issue would be a good use of the Yahoo Answers .... Anyone have any ideas?
