Goddess Wear Did The Ishtar Goddess Wear Red Or Purple?

Did the Ishtar Goddess wear Red or Purple? - goddess wear

Whenever I see photos of her on the net, and I wonder whether there is any significance to the color you used? I know she is the goddess of love, fertility and prostitution ... But do you really wear red or purple / scarlet fever?

Some pictures of it on the Internet:

The images we see are made centuries after the goddess worshiped. Each color would be reasonable for now. I think red or purple, you mention the use of the Tirreno purple (not sure if the spelling). There was a sea creature on the Phoenician coast, and was reserved for dyeing purple imperial Roman emperors and their families, etc. are used by creating a god in the image of your choice and then the formation and change of clothes, as our ideas and time. It is a personal decision if you've seen a picture of her. .
